What is your favorite memory from an 84 Movement event?
Kick Butts Day is my favorite day of the year (sorry YPS). My favorite memory was at last year’s KBD watching some of the seniors I have worked with for several years speak. Seeing how far they’ve come in their confidence and public speaking skills since they started always makes me so happy and reminds me how lucky I am to do this work!
What is one fun fact about you?
I signed up for the 2019 Boston Marathon without ever having run more than 5 miles. It took me a VERY long time and I was VERY ill when I finished, but I did it!
If you could have dinner with anyone, real or fictional, who would it be?
Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls. She is my favorite person ever. If you don’t know who that is, please go to Netflix immediately and thank me later.
What is one message you have for youth about their role in tobacco control?
Our success in tobacco control in MA is all attributed to youth. By using your voices to educate your peers and change-makers, we’ve made history here in MA. Youth voice is the MOST important part of making change on this issue and this work could not be done without you.
