If you give a minor a cigarette, chewing tobacco, snuff, or tobacco of any form you can be fined no less than $100 for your first offence. You will be fined no less than $200 for your second offence and no less than $300 for your third offence. There is evidence that addiction is stronger in people who start smoking at a young age, so it is very important that minors are not exposed to cigarettes at a young age.
