The Middle School Ambassadors are group of middle school-aged youth that represent The 84 Movement. They meet twice a month with the high school students on the Statewide Leadership Team, and as a separate group. The Middle School Ambassadors will provide input on The 84’s program, work on planning statewide events, facilitating workshops for middle school Chapters, and engage in leadership and identity development. The youth selected will also gain valuable tools to help grow their Chapters and engage their communities.
The program operates with two virtual meetings a month from September-June.
On the first and third Tuesdays of every month, the MSA will meet as a group at 6:30pm, then they will meet with the Statewide Leadership Team from 7:00-8:00pm.
The 84 Movement has two annual events:
– Youth Power Summit (October/November)
– Kick Butts Day (March/April)
There will be more frequent meetings around event planning time. When it is safe, these will be in-person and Middle School Ambassadors are required to attend these events. Travel expenses to all in-person events is provided by The 84.
The deadline to apply is Thursday, September 2nd at 11:59pm.
