Needham Youth and Family Services
This group started as a division on SALSA (Students Advocating for Life Without Substance Abuse). SALSA is a mentoring and peer leadership skills program for students who abstain from alcohol and other drug use. SALSA presents younger students with role models making healthy decisions and strengthens the younger students’ resolve to remain alcohol-and drug free. The power of SALSA is based on a personal connection youth members make with a classroom of younger students; they are positive role models sharing Social Norm messages.
