Do you have a certain way of motivating your peers to take action? Can you command the attention of others? Are you passionate about creating change in tobacco regulation? If so, then it’s time to stand up and be recognized as a student leader with The 84 Movement!
The 84 Movement will give seven awards total; one to a statewide leader and six to regional leaders. (Regions include Greater Boston, Metrowest, Northeast, Southeast, Central and Western Massachusetts). Any Massachusetts high school student who has been doing tobacco prevention work since December 2011 (or before!) is welcome to apply.
Winners will receive the following:
• Recognition at Kick Butts Day 2012 at the Massachusetts Statehouse on March 21st
• Recognition on The84.org
• Scholarship money
• Potential press coverage and recognition by legislators in your district
Send your completed forms by 5PM Friday, March 2nd and you will be notified by Friday, March 16th if you have been selected!
