On October 6th two Peer Leaders, Eric and Tharindu, testified at the Brookline Health and Human Services Advisory Committee Hearing in support of Warrant Article 7 – a proposal that would ban the sale of tobacco products in healthcare and educational institutions.  In front of local government and business leaders, the peer leaders spoke passionately in support of the article, citing their own experiences in youth smoking cessation as evidence.  We hope that their testimonies will positively affect the Town Meeting vote on Article 7 in November.
The 84 represents the 84% of Massachusetts teens who choose not to smoke.
