he 84 Movement is excited to award mini-grants to further the work of The 84 and combat the influence of Big Tobacco to make our communities healthier, more just and more tobacco free!
The 84 Movement Mini-Grant Details:
- Number of awards: Up to 15 Chapters of The 84 will be funded
- Funding range: $2,000-$4,000
- Mini-grant period: October 2011 – June 2012
- Overall eligibility: Applying Chapters must have at least 5 youth and 1 adult advisor who will work on the project and must be a Chapter for the year 2011-2012 at time of application. Click to sign up to become a Chapter. Applicants must also be registered to attend The 84 Statewide Kickoff and Training on Saturday, October 22nd (at least 2 youth and 1 adult required to attend). Register at www.the84.org/2011kickoff.
- Geographic eligibility: Due to federal tobacco prevention funds available in the city of Boston, only youth groups outside of Boston will be eligible for this funding
- The application is due on Friday, October 7th.
